Welcome Aboard
Valley's before and after school program (The STEAM Team) had a great first year! More than 150 students participated in reading and math exploration and fun enrichment classes.
Our partnership with Apple ConnectED brought us a movie production academy this summer. Students created community based videos using classroom tools and knowledge gained during the academy. Visit our video section to see some of their amazing work.
From math and reading to robotics, cooking, coding, music, fitness and art our students are building new knowledge sets and increasing their self-confidence.

Program Description
Math and Reading Exploration - Activities are student centered and are project and challenged based. A multitude of tools are used to provide students with opportunities and experiences were they can utilize existing and new knowledge. Students are recommended by their homeroom teacher and school principal. Attendance is very important for these classes. Students should plan to attend every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and Friday.
Enrichment classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Classes include Drums-A-Live, Robotics, Art, Read-N-Ride, Intramural Sports and Lego League. Students will be dropped after 3 “unexcused” absences.
Valley's After School STEAM Team does not meet on early release days, during conference week, and holidays.
Our Sunrise STEAM Team will meet on early release days.
After school classes meet 3:30-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Morning classes meet 7:00am-8:00am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The 21st Century Community Learning Center afterschool program is funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the Arizona Department of Education.
Program Hours
After school teams meet:
3:30-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Sunrise teams meet:
7:00am-8:00am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Valley's After School STEAM Teams do not meet on early release days, during conference week, and holidays.
